AW??

HI all, I am new to this site but been in the business for a long time, and used AW for many years. We probably all know they have recently insisted on verifying accounts with government-issued ID uploads, passports or driving licences in this country.

I am sure I am not the only one who doesn't want to post such sensitive personal info on a sex site, and I wondered if many here have had the same experience. Has it affected people's amount of work, for instance? has AW suddenly contracted a lot because of this?

Yes, I was asked years ago to produce Passport and other information and also on Escorts Scotland site too, which I didn’t want to do either..
I think they ask to see if you’re not underage primarily, but, like yourself I thought too much personal information and so came off both sites.. I think other sites are also asking for more Verification than they used to too, so seems to be the way forward nowadays unfortunately.

Thanks Angie. Basically it’s hard not to approve of these measures, which protect those pushed into sex work. It’s very different for someone like me who is educated and qualified to do other things but does this because she loves it, and an underage girl with perhaps a baby and a drug habit , maybe even a violent pimp, who is forced to have sex with strangers and has no choice. Measures that protect the vulnerable are basically a good thing, but it does make it hard for those of us who genuinely love what we do.

what, who asks for utility bills

banks & solicitors etc ask for utility bills in the UK as part of establishing identity. Fair enough, though it;s pretty intrusive. But a sex site? Really? I can't imagine that a large proportion of us working in the sex industry want to upload our passports and other personal info to a site like that. certainly I don't. and I know I am not alone.

I was only on aw much preferred it personally, work wise in general was better more up market type clients, then after being on there for something like 2 years I cant seem to stay on there now with out my profile being taken off, I don't have photo id and like UV said definitely wouldn't feel comfortable sharing, I'm glad to hear it's not just me, I wasn't sure, xx
