I was looking at some articles on sex addiciton (because I strongly suspect I am one!) and here is what I found.

What are the symptoms of sex and love addiction?

"Sex addiction and co-dependency are associated with a wide range of signs and symptoms. Whilst there is no single action or behaviour that will definitively establish that you are struggling with sex or love addiction, the symptoms generally fall under the following criteria:

Experiencing overwhelming, persistent sexual thoughts and urges
- Acting on these thoughts and urges, not in order to experience joy or pleasure, but because you feel compelled to do so
- Continuing to engage in these behaviours even when you know that they are harmful to yourself or others, and even after you have experienced negative repercussions from similar actions in the past

The following are among the more common examples of specific signs and symptoms of sex addiction:

- Having persistent and unavoidable sex-related thoughts, urges and fantasies
- Having unsafe sex with multiple partners
- Being incapable of refraining from having sex with others, even when you are involved in a relationship
- Having unprotected sex, anonymous sex, sex in public places or otherwise engaging in sexual behaviours that can obviously jeopardise your health or social wellbeing
- Typically feeling guilty, ashamed or disgusted with yourself after acting on your sexual compulsions
- Spending significant amounts of time viewing pornography
- Trying but being incapable of stopping or significantly reducing any of these behaviours

It is important to understand that there is a significant difference between sex addiction and having a high sex drive or enjoying frequent sex. If you have been struggling with sex addiction, your actions are not motivated by pleasure, but by ceaseless compulsion. Instead of providing you with a sense of joy or pleasure, behaviours that result from sex addiction will bring you shame, guilt and pain."

Having read this I see that I fit every one of the criteria!

Am I the only one????!!

Nope, that seems to apply to me, although addicted implies having to have sex very regularly, and while I love a BB punt and would happily be up for one every few days if I have to go without for a few weeks it doesn't worry me... there's always an Empornium download to fire up for a good long wank!

I'm a sex addict for sure. Always have been for as long as I remember. Paying for sex took things to a completely different level because a few crisp £20s makes the impossible, possible. Like standing with a friend in a bar and leering at women younger than me, Being told, ''she's out of your league mate'' - Yeah she might be unobtainable but I know there will be a similar looking girl willing to take me for a few quid.

I'm sure it's a genetic thing. Like the summer months seems to affect the muscles in my eyes. When the sun shines and the girls are out in their skimpy gear I am able to focus one eye on the road and the other on the pavement. That ain't normal for anyone.

I love sex, I have a very high sex drive and after a bad breakup just decided I'd rather have fun and earn money at the same time because my sex game is on point. I feel powerful and confident at the same time... I might be slightly addicted but hoping to meet some great new men as I've only just started in adult work if anyone has some tips for me let me know as I want regular clients...

I'm very sexual and I think about it all the time and I'm very liberal about what should be allowed but...

Yeah, I am fortunate enough to stay within boundries.

Sadly the internet makes us all feel safe when we're really not.

Always use a VPN. Always!
