As one not being one of 10% that has been scammed by " the discrete" I agree with all the other clients that have posted on this thread and not the discrete escorts.

Although paying anything upfront is something I have never done or likely to do, to be fair it does not automatically make that escort a scammer. It does however take them off my list of potential to meet.

I will confess that when I first started punting I was a victim of a "deposit scam" learned my lesson and never paid one since.

I personaly avoid any escort that advertised for a deposit or who asks for one on booking. I mean seriously guys why on earth would you want to give your money to Sergie !! and go home cock in hand for a ££££ wank after being ghosted.

I can see it from both sides.

A lot of escorts get messed about, timewasters etc. A lot will not see people with good feedback. Some will want a deposit for outcalls.

From a punters point if view if the person was well established with lots of feedback, i can understand. If they had no feedback and a week on the site no way.

It's probably a smart thing to read the warning posted by Adult Seek :

"Important notice - Users enter into booking deposit schemes at their own risk. Exercise caution if a service provider asks for a deposit prior to a booking. To avoid succuming to fraud, always pay using cash in person."

Cataloguing all of those who ask for a deposit in advance as scammers is a bit drastic, in some cases I’ve been scammed with prior deposits, but in other cases I’ve been given the service.
You have to be really careful and look for girls with reviews of their good services, often these scammers sneak onto websites to defame the working women in this area.
I also don’t think there’s an exact list of rules to abide by to know if it’s a scam or not, in my experience what has helped me is reviews from others, I try not to hire services from an escort who’s new or for whom I have no prior information.
It’s also very true that every escort is a human being with an active personal life, and they’re not available 24/7 to serve us, they also get emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, that’s why I wouldn’t call all those who ask for a deposit a scammer.

"I asked her to prove she is real by sending a selfie of her holding up 4 fingers to the camera. Super easy to do it your real, very hard if your a dude that grabbed a few pic of a cute girl and set your self up in the scamming business. Never heard back."

good idea

I booked a session last week with a SP, for which she wanted a £50 deposit. I paid this with Paypal. Her email confirming receipt mentioned that the payment fee was £8 which she "was sure I would pay on arrival". Strange.

The standard P'pal charge is 2.9%+30p for business transactions, which her p'pal addy was. This would amount to £1.75 for £50. My first thought was that maybe p'pal takes 20% VAT in advance of the payee's liability. That would be typical for super-fierce American tax collection. But actually 20% of £48.25 comes to £9.65.

Anyway, I emailed back asking very nicely for details of that £8. Couple of days later came a p'pal email to me returning £48.25. Obviously she had cancelled the booking.

So was she trying to scam me? I'll never know. For sure we've both lost £1.75 each. Sob. The silly thing is that although all electronic finance charges are in your face, traditional bank charges for business accounts are just as high. Anyway, its clear that deposit-paying to a business account creates messiness and awkwardness that poisons a 'clean' relationship before it starts. So thanks, 'Baroness', I dodged a bullet by inviting you to be open and transparent. You cheeky cow!

As I recall someone else from here once saying... they should be paying us a deposit because we are the ones who have to risk turning up and getting messed around.

Deposit? I wouldn't even give one to my wife (I don't have a wife).

From all the horror stories you read not only on this forum but others as well of clients losing their hard earned cash in a deposit scam it's not something I'd contemplate doing.
