Other sites provide it without requiring users to pay. I suspect that not many people bother with premium membership, because at the moment there's so little activity here. It's a chicken-and-egg situation."

Adult Work gives this information. UK Adult Zone is happy to give this information - without "running scared" even though a lot of the dates are long ago. Seeking does it.

This site should do the same.

On 5 April Rachel wrote: "The last online date is something we’ll be adding to profiles very shortly." But it never happened! All we got was information about last sign-ins within seven days, which covers a tiny minority of the profiles on this site. All other profiles are still lumped together under the pointless and useless "over a week ago" formula, even if they've been "dead" for years.

Come on, Adult Seek. If UK Adult Zone – another site with a mass of dead profiles on it – is brave enough to do it, so should you be!"

The only possible reason for the "over a week ago" formula is to disguise the number of defunct profiles. This is unhelpful not only to potential clients but also to girls who are genuinely active.

To repeat what I wrote on 27 April, "If my search had brought up five genuine 'live' profiles (instead of 85 profiles most of which are almost certainly 'dead'), this site would have credibility - and, with this policy in place, would gradually acquire more genuine business, and build up to being successful and respected."

Unless the dead wood is removed, sadly this site will never be more than a side-show."

"I'm not trying to decide anything for anyone. I'm trying to persuade those who run this site to provide accurate information about "last-signed on" dates to allow people to make up their own minds about whether or not a girl is active.

Nor have I tried to "define" what makes a profile "dead" - but I will now do so. I would say that if a profile hasn't been used for three months it's probably dead. Others might define a profile as dead if it's been inactive for six months or a year. Up to them. I'm not imposing my own "definition" on anyone else.

In any case, none of us would have to waste any time defining or deciding any of this if the site provided helpful "last signed-on" information. To have a formula ("over a week ago") that can mean anything between seven days and seven years - or however long this site's been going - is worse than useless."

"I have just done a search on this site for escorts up to 30 years old within 10 miles of my local town.

I got 85 hits. I checked the profiles of the top 48.

All but two of them had their last signed-in date as "over a week ago". I suspect that most users of this site would interpret this as the profile being dormant or defunct - and not waste their time trying to make contact.

However I know for a fact that one of the "over a week ago" girls among my hits is indeed active - so she will be losing business because the "over a week ago" tag creates such a negative impression.

Those who run this site obviously believe that having lots of "dead" profiles on view makes the site appear popular and worthwhile.

I disagree. If my search had brought up five genuine "live" profiles (instead of 85 profiles most of which are almost certainly "dead"), this site would have credibility - and, with this policy in place, it would I think gradually acquire more genuine business, and build up to being successful and respected."

"Even if she takes all her bookings by phone, any escort who is active will log on to her profile every so often in order to check her messages and / or update the profile.

If "last online" is within the last week or so, we can be sure that the escort is active. Between one week and three, possibly. Any escort who hasn't signed on for over a month is almost certainly either dormant or dead.

That's why this site's decision to offer "last online" in exact days for a week and – after that – nothing more precise than "over a week ago" is so frustrating.

If the site wants to disguise the fact that in reality many of the profile-owners last signed in a year or two ago, then it could at least give us precise days for up to a month – and then "over a month ago".

The principle of exact days for up to a week does at least allow us to tell which escorts are definitely active. That's a start. However, many punters will take the view that "over a week ago" in fact means "dead and gone" – so it would be very helpful to everyone if punters can see which escorts have been active for between one and four weeks."
"I've just noticed that the month and year a girl joined the site now appears on her profile. Perhaps it's been there a while? Either way, that's a very helpful enhancement."

"Mirabile dictu! "Last online" status is now shown! Well done, Adult Seek.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that - while girls who have signed on in the last seven days get "two days" (or whatever) - all other girls, however long ago it is since they last signed on, get "over a week ago". Which makes no distinction between a girl who last signed on on 10 April 2023 and one who last signed on on 10 April 2018.

So it's a start. But only a start."

"Wonderful news. Rachel! Once you add "last online information", this site stands a chance of being a serious player!

However I do hope that your phrase “very shortly” does indeed mean just that – since as long ago as 4 December another member (Pokopop) started a new thread entitled “Last Online”, saying this:

“Would be great to see when an escort last accessed their account, there are far too many 'expired' profiles in my area, still with the phone numbers on which have been unused for so long they are no longer active. Last online is such an easy thing to add and would make the site usable which it currently isn’t.”

Crisp, clear and succinct. Couldn’t have put it better myself! "Not currently usable" is indeed to all intents and purposes the state of play at the moment. And I then added my own comment.

So this issue was drawn to the site administrators’ attention four months ago – and nothing happened!"

"I hope this will be read by the appropriate person or people!

This site has potential. It is well-designed and easy to use. It is capable, if not of challenging the "market leader", of giving it a good run for its money.

On account of one major flaw it is, however, almost useless.

That flaw is that out-of-date profiles – and some are clearly years out of date – are not deleted.

If deletion of profiles that haven't been accessed for, say, six months is something that can't be contemplated (because it would leave the site looking almost empty), then "last signed in" information should be provided.

I suspect that those who run this site fear that deletion and / or providing "last signed in" information would make it obvious how few "live" profiles there are and would diminish the appeal of the site.

But surely the opposite is the case? If male users of the site were able to tell which were genuine, "live" profiles, more men would begin to use it – and more genuine new female profiles would start to appear."
