At 66 yrs of age .. just started on blood pressure tablets . (hydrochlorothiazide )

Suddenly realised that I haven't naturally had a good erection for a couple of weeks .

Wanking with a soft knob isn't fun . ! Changed my diet and lifestyle a bit ,..... lost a bit of weight .

It might just be my imagination ... as a friend has the same tablets .. and has no problems ....

( we both use Viagra when we punt with no problems ).Might be tiredness etc .. as recently suffering from insomnia

Anyone got any thoughts ?

hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic .... use of which may result in ED for some people. Do not stop taking it however without medical supervision. That does not mean that ED meds cannot compensate for it's action and assuming you have been prescribed such meds?

Always better to discuss this a nurse specialist / consultant way better than the advice you will get grom your GP.

In my late 50s, have had a couple of periods previously where maintaining was a struggle - the best therapy (in my experience) is to get yourself in front of a tidy lass that you actually like & fancy (or in prossie terms, who has a good attitude and is FAF). In these circumstances I have never failed to get it up and almost never struggled to keep it up !

There is of course a physical basis for ED, but having your head in the right place helps enormously.

All better sorted with a discussion with a healthcare professional.
